GUELPH TRANSPORTATION SUMMIT TO CONVENE EXPERTS AND THE PUBLIC
Community event will explore how better transportation can create a more vibrant and sustainable city.
GUELPH, ON — September 29, 2025 — The Transit Action Alliance of Guelph (TAAG) and Guelph Community for Active Transportation (GCAT) are pleased to host the Guelph Transportation Summit on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Dublin Street United Church, located at 68 Suffolk St. West, in Guelph, Ontario.
This free, community-focused summit is designed to engage and educate residents in shaping the future of mobility in Guelph. The day will feature presentations from a diverse range of prominent transportation experts, including Andrew Pulsifer from TTCRiders, Isaac Ransom from Neuron Mobility, David T. Fortin from the University of Waterloo School of Architecture, Sam Hersh from Environmental Defence, and many more experts.
“This is an opportunity to learn how our transportation systems interconnect to create a more vibrant, affordable, and sustainable Guelph,” says Eric Unger, Co-Chair of the Transit Action Alliance of Guelph. “With insights from a range of experts on mobility, we aim to educate and inspire the public about the foundations of effective transit. This includes the importance of active transportation, and the critical role of urban development and advocacy in building a better Guelph.”
The summit is free to attend, with donations to the non-profit organizers encouraged. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. Participants are welcome to come and go throughout the day.
The venue is wheelchair accessible, with bike racks, free parking, and nearby transit (routes 3, 11, and 99 from Guelph Central Station). Light snacks and drinks will be available. The day will also include opportunities for networking with speakers and other attendees.
