Guelph Transit has annouced some big changes coming to how the city is investing in our public transportation. As transit users, we need to understand what this means for our daily commutes, our city's green goals, and the future of our transit system.
Doors Open Guelph returns on Saturday, April 26th, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, offering free access to significant architectural, historical, and cultural sites in Guelph. The event features guided tours and interactive experiences at various locations, including community hubs, artistic spaces, historical landmarks, and research facilities. TAAG encourages you to use Guelph Transit, which provides convenient access to many sites, with specific route information provided for each location from Guelph Central Station.
We are writing to advocate for the approval of Vision Zero strongly and to emphasize the critical role of dedicated transit lanes and high-frequency transit (service every 15 minutes or better) within the Quality Transit Network (QTN) as essential strategies for achieving our city's Vision Zero objectives.
Thanks to everyone who dropped by our table at the PRFM this past weekend! Lots of new member & newsletter sign ups.
On February 15th, TAAG members joined the Big Umbrella Table at the Guelph Farmers' Market as part of the Guelph Wellington Coalition for Social Justice. We engaged with the community, discussed transit issues, and welcomed new members.
Transit Action Alliance of Guelph (TAAG), as a member of the Guelph Wellington Coalition for Social Justice, participated in the all-candidates meeting by setting up a table and submitting a question to the candidates.
Thanks to all those who came out! We look forward to the next event later this summer!
Over $500 generated for TAAG and a lot of fun. Thank you members & volunteers!
